Substitutions

• 120 grams short-grain rice
• 500 milliliters milk (or plant milk)
• 1 table spoon sugar or honey (to taste)
• 1 small apple, peeled and diced
• 1 tea spoon cinnamon
• A pinch of salt

• Milk: plant milk or half milk, half water.
• Apple: pear.

Allergens

Dairy (milk), if used

1. Rinse rice in cold water.
2. In a pot, bring milk and a pinch of salt to a gentle simmer. Add rice and cook on low, stirring often, until thick and creamy (about 18–20 minutes).
3. Stir in sugar or honey.
4. In a small pan, warm the apple with cinnamon for 2–3 minutes until soft.
5. Spoon pudding into bowls and top with the warm apple.
