Substitutions
• 500 grams boiled potatoes
• 150 grams flour
• 1 egg
• Pinch of salt
• Flour: potato starch for gluten-free version.
• Egg: omit, add 1 table spoon oil.

1. Mash boiled potatoes until smooth.
2. Mix with flour, egg, and salt into a soft dough.
3. Roll into logs on a floured board. Cut into small pieces.
4. Drop into salted boiling water. Cook until they float (2–3 minutes).
5. (Optional) Fry the cooked dumplings in a little butter or oil until golden and crispy on the outside.
