Ingredients

Substitutions

• 500 grams wheat flour
• 250 milliliters warm milk
• 20 grams fresh yeast (or 7 g dry yeast)
• 1 egg
• 40 grams sugar
• 2 table spoons oil
• Pinch of salt

• Milk: plant milk.
• Egg: omit, add 1 table spoon oil.

Gluten (flour), Dairy (milk), Egg

1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk with sugar. Rest 10 minutes.
2. Add flour, egg, oil, and salt. Knead until smooth. Cover and rise 1 hour.
3. Divide dough into 12 balls. Let rise another 20 minutes.
4. Steam buns over boiling water for 15 minutes until fluffy.
